I live on an estuary in East Anglia, with my husband and two dogs. A recurring theme of my work is nature, landscape and animals.
Having lived near water and in the countryside most of my life, I'm naturally drawn to this as the inspiration for my work. I paint from still life, sketches 'en plein air' and photographs I take on dog walks and runs around Suffolk, Essex and Derbyshire. I'm drawn to the atmosphere of early morning and dusk, colour, florals and the quirky character in animal faces. I like to capture light, colour, shape, beauty, raindrops, moody skies and land/seascapes.

Over the last year or so I have concentrated on still life. Capturing seasonal flowers, the colour, shape, tone and

light. I have recently started painting 'plein air' during this lovely warm summer and love capturing the changing seasons.

I was lucky to go on an Artists in Residency at The Skopelos Art Foundation from June - July this year and it opened my mind to developing some new work which is coming soon and will start a new journey that involves closer connection with my work, though will maintain atmosphere and colour, sea/landscapes with florals but delving into time, space and our relationship to the natural world.

In Early June I had my first solo show and sold many of my still life paintings, I will be planning exhibitions and workshops over the next few months.
